Children’s Grief Center Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Facilitator

Are you a good listener? Volunteers are needed to help facilitate groups for children who have experienced a death. Facilitators participate in the briefing/debriefing sessions and are required to attend a 3 day training. They are asked to make a one year commitment. Groups meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday OR 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings every month. Consistent attendance is important to ensure the development of the group as a cohesive unit.

Program Aides

Program Aides are needed to help set-up a snack on program nights, greet families and clean up. This is a key contribution on the night of the program and a great way to help if you are unable to commit to the full 4-hour time slot. Program aid assistance will be needed 1 hour prior to and 1 hour after on group nights. (1st and 3rd Mondays  OR 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month)

Outreach Team

These volunteers will help share the news about the Children’s Grief Center by distributing brochures and Wish List tubs to local businesses, churches & organizations.

Office Assistance

Do you like to organize and enter data? The Children’s Grief Center is looking for volunteers to help with clerical and computer needs. Tasks will include data entry, filing, labeling, answering phones, assembling packets, organizing public education materials and making confirmation phone calls.

Fundraising Committee

We’re looking for creative ideas and a team of people to establish events to help raise funds for the Children’s Grief Center. This team will organize events, create marketing pieces, gather needed supplies and create opportunities for the community to invest in making the Children’s Grief Center sustainable for the long-term.

Share Your Talent

Do you dance, have theater experience, want to share your love for art, crafts, or music? We are looking for volunteers to help organizing children & teen activities.
