Providing a healing environment through peer support for children, teens and their families grieving a death.

Are you a good listener? Volunteer Group Facilitators are needed to help with the Children’s Grief Center’s peer support grief groups. As a volunteer you will receive a wonderful two-day training where you will explore and share your own life journey. You will participate in similar activities that the kids do in group and you will create a peer support group within your own training classmates. Children’s Grief groups are held two nights/month throughout the school year in Midland, Saginaw and Bay City, as well as programs during the summer. We ask for a minimum commitment of one school year. Consistent attendance is important to ensure the development of the group as a cohesive unit.

Our next FACILITATOR TRAINING is scheduled for:
Saturday, September 18th from 9am-6pm
&
Sunday, September 19th from 9am-6pm

Volunteer Facilitators must attend both dates of training and commit to one school year of service. There is a suggested $50 donation for training materials & costs. Note: Training Scholarships are available upon request.

Training is held at the Children’s Grief Center (Main Campus):
4708 James Savage Road,
Midland, MI 48642

Wear comfortable clothes.

On Saturday and Sunday, breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Volunteers are an integral and important part of the Children’s Grief Center. There are many different ways you can get involved to help create a healing space for grieving children in our community!
