Who Attends the Children’s Grief Center?
Any child or teen who has experienced the death of a parent, sibling, close family member, or friend.
The age groups include ages 5-18. The groups are individualized and set up as Preschool/Kindergarten, Early Elementary, Late Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
We have groups in Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw. There is no charge to join a group.
The accompanying parent or caregiver is encouraged to attend the parent/adult support group that meets simultaneously. The adult must stay on-site while their child or teen meets in a group.

What to Expect
Children’s groups start with an opening circle to introduce themselves and a quick activity. Then they are off to process their grief through play in areas such as; high energy, game room, creative arts, dress up, sand and rice play, books, and games, a giant parachute, and foam noodles. Before they leave we have a closing circle to finish off the evening.
